I am the Best Man at a wedding on Saturday. Although I already wrote a short speech, I am worried it is not typical of wedding speeches.
I know the groom primarily from the gym. He also helped me out immensely at my house, fixing things I am not able to do. We really did not hang out together much; we knew each other primarily from the gym.
To make matters more difficult, I have to give the speech in both Czech and English. I wrote a speech that I can handle in Czech, and I think it may be typical of what Czechs would say (my Czech teacher in Prague checked in over).
What would be some typical things to say? I don't know a lot of private information about the groom, and know extremely little about the bride (just me her briefly). What kind of generalities should I include?
