  1. Probably St Louis, or Kansas city.  They're right in the middle of the country and get traffic from California, Texas, Chicago, New York, you name it.


  2. Chicago has the most mileage of railroad tracks within the city limits, so that makes it a good guess.

  3. Interesting... I'd actually wonder if being a "HUB" avoids there being CROSSINGS... and instead is more of a "merge"?  I'm GUESSING you mean rail cross-overs rather than grade-crossings.

    I am certainly impressed by the number of crossings in the Stockton Area where UP and BNSF routes CROSS.

  4. im thinking probably north Platte Nebraska,  bailey yard the biggest train yard in the world.
