  1. Well, well well ! ! ! ! ! ! !  What a question, are you running away from home or something?  <blink>  <blink>

You can go to Mapquest to find a town or city (towns are not cities by the way) within or about 100 miles away from Saint Albans.

As for your walk, figure this: the railroad taught me as a locomotive engineer when I worked on the hump that a brisk walk is 3-1/2 miles per hour (three and a half).  Of course, you are going to have to stop and eat and rest and go to the facilities on your walk.  I do not know how old you are, Miss, but I hope as a female that you do not make this walk all by yourself!

In the Army, with a full backpack, we averaged from 28 miles per day to about 33 miles per day on a march.  Although we were supposed to take a break once every hour, our platoon usually just wanted to "hump it" and not rest until we got tired, usually after about three hours.  Then we took a half hour rest break.  That still allowed us time to sleep overnight.

100 miles?  Figure four days, depending on whether you are carrying your fish aquarium and fish in your hands with you or are just going with a light "day-backpack"!

  2. Nottingham maybe, thats 103.29 miles away, and it would take 1 day 9 hours of continuous walking

Although if you walked 25 miles a day, it would take 4 days

  3. Southampton?

  4. average walking speed: 3mph

    distance:100 miles

    100/3 = 33.333 hours

so if someone walked nonstop and never got tired. it would take about 34 hours or a day and 10 hours

  5. Birmingham

  6. Poole in Dorset, distance would vary by route chosen, allow 5 days at 20 miles a day.
