  2. I grew up in the 70's and 80's and I remember Pippa dolls, Baby Alive (it really ate and drank and weed) Spirographs, Rolf Harris' stylophone, the tennis game you had to plug into your telly and then you got this black and white screen with a line down the middle and 2 little sticks for bats and a square dot for a ball, and a bit later St Clives ZX81 :)

    I also remember in the playground we went through a phase of cutting the legs off our mums' tights, sticking tennis balls down the end and playing this chanting game where you had to stand with your back against a wall and hit the ball off different places without going wrong or hurting yourself. We also used to play what we called French elastic.

    Can I just say the best toy of the seventies was definitely my brothers' Evil Kenival on a stunt bike 'cos it really did work.

  3. Super Nintendo. Pokemon. Trading/Battle Cards. Blue's Clues. Barney. N Sync. Backstreet Boys. Britney Spears.

  4. Being a child of the 90's (yes, a young squirt I am), I remember;

    1) Absolutely horrid creatures of all sorts that seemed to be spewed from the mind of a deranged psychopath.

    2) All things Nickoleon... f**t goo, that creepy bubbly foam paste, etc.

    3) Pokemon

    ...the 90's were a bad era for children's toys

  5. When I was in first grade, the hot toy for Christmas was the Nintendo with that Mike Tyson boxing game, Knockout I think it was called. I can remember sitting in a circle at school after we got back from vacation and every other kid saying that was what they got for Christmas.

    That's the one that sticks out most in my mind!  that was 1988.

    *Holy c**p that was 20 yrs ago I feel old now.

  6. Gi Joe american Hero!

    Tears for fears

    Loud coloured shirts

  7. I grew up in the 1950s; Slinky, Hula Hoop, Ginny dolls, Mme Alexander dolls, Betsy McCall doll, Barbie, Bozo the Clown inflatable toy, Flexy Flyer sleds on wheels, Bongo Board, candy cigarettes and cigars, Pez, Motown 45s, Schwinn bikes, licorice pipes (lots of candy smoke themes!) rubber faced plush toys, and my favorite of all, plastic horses.

  8. Power Rangers; =]

    -x-

  9. Rock em sock em robots and the electric football game...
