Traditionally Lowe's Motor Speedway and Las Vegas have been great for Jimmie but this year has not been good for him at either of those tracks.  Statistically he is tied for his average finish (6.0) at both Martinsville and Phoenix and I think Jimmie is best on the flat tracks.  Martinsville is the place I am always confident that he can win or at least get a solid top 5.  Other than his very first time there, where he had mechanical problems and finished 35th, he has 4 wins, 10 top 5s and 2 top 10s in 12 races.

It used to be that no one could touch Jr at 'Dega (5 wins..with four consecutive)..and he still runs pretty well there, but here in the last few years it seems that the short tracks are his strongest.

Bristol and Richmond in particular.  I was at the Bristol fall race in 2006 when Jr started dead last (or maybe 42nd) and finished either 3rd or 5th..and he finished 5th in March.  He's won at Richmond three times and once at Bristol.

Well, it used to be Bristol until they went and messed that up. Now I have to say Talladega. He runs up front at every restrictor plate race there is in any car he is driving. He also finishes well at road courses and Lowes.
