  1. My friend don't take Amtrak, it will cost you an arm and a leg just to get to Philly.

Take NJT Northeast Corridor Line to Trenton. There change to the SEPTA Regional Rail R7 to Philadelphia-30th Street Station. Once at Philadelphia-30th Street Station, change again to SEPTA Regional Rail R1 to PHL.

    Fare

NJ Transit Northeast Corridor Line: $9.25 one way

SEPTA Regional Rail: $9.00 one way

I hope this information was very helpful. Good luck

  2. Several options.

Amtrak to Philadelphia 30th St Station then the SEPTA R1 to the airport.

Or, NJT Newark to Trenton. SEPTA to Philadelphia and then the R1 to the airport.

Sorry don't know the fare, but NJT and SEPTA cheaper than Amtrak.
