Does anyone know if there is a train that goes to Normandy from Paris? We want to take a day trip to Bayeaux to see the D-Day beaches and American Cemetery and stroll through the town a little. How long will it take and what are the round trip costs?

  1. The full timetable and fares are on the French rail web site. You can also buy tickets online, or place an option free of charge, which is held for a week for you (or a friend) to pick up from a railway station.

    the url is

    www.voyages-sncf.com

There is a flag to switch to English on the bottom left.

  2. From Paris you would take the 3307 train from Paris St Lazare to Caen then switch trains for about 15 minutes.  train 52605 from Caen to Bayeux.  It takes a little over 2 hours each way and is approximately 50.00 each way.

  3. you can see it on : www.sncf.fr

    it's the french train company
