  1. lol yonkers funny name

  2. you can take subway number 1 toward uptown and get off at the last station.  You can find Yonkers bus stop there.

For subway, it will take around 40 minutes from Penn Station but it costs only $2.  The last stop is at 243st and Broadway and the bus stop is right there as well.  It's very safe, especially during the day.

  3. My friend, first of all there is no subway service beyond NYC, so you will have to take Metro-North instead. Here how to get from Penn Station to Yonkers.

Step 1: from Penn Station, take the uptown (northbound) #1, 2 or 3 subway lines (Red Line) from Penn Station to Times Square - 42nd Street.

Step 2: at Times Square - 42nd Street, transfer upstairs to the 42nd Street Shuttle (Black Line). Take the Shuttle eastbound from Times Square to Grand Central.

Please watch your step as you board the Shuttle train in Times Square because there is a gap between the platform and train.

Step 3: at Grand Central, exit the subway in to the terminal and take the Metro-North Hudson Line from Grand Central to Yonkers. The trip from GCT to Yonkers will take between 30 to 60 minutes, but you be there in no time.

Now, the fare on the subway is $2 one way, transfer between subway lines are free. The fare on Metro-North's Hudson Line from GCT to Yonkers is $7.75 one peak ($6 one way off peak).

Please remember to buy your Metro-North ticket at Grand Central before boarding the train.

I hope this information is very helpful.

    Good luck
