What treatment for Fin Rot is Fine for Invertebrates?

Both of my tanks at Home have Fin Rot bacteria, and although I know it can sometimes heal through heightened water temperature, I want to buy treatment for security (since my Black Ghost Knifefish was $20) and I have invertebrates in one tank. Will anti-fungal harm my snails and shrimp? If some do could someone tell me the ones that won't?

  1. Hi there, in my opinion i used some interpet antifungal medicine which got rid of the fungus, unfortunately the fish also developed sores, again from nitrites in the water, and that was to much for him. Sorry!

I have heard a few people say they have used melafix and primafix to cure fin rot and that can definitely be used stress zyme and shouldn't affect your filter. Others have tried it though and had no success. Go with what Andy says though. If you want more information about your problem visit the website I search it on a net it helps me a lot so if you were interested visit the website which is given below.

  2. you can use Marcyn TC, which will neither hurt your invertebrates nor you biological filtration
