I'm getting a hamster and I just need to know everything. I already know what cage I'm gonna get, and ball, and bedding, and stuff. All I need to know now is what treats dwarf hamsters like. And it has to be from Petco or Petsmart.

Dryed bananas coated in cinniman ( bought in pet shop ).

Apples, carrots and lettuce ( they realy like apples )

Yogart drops, chocolate ( white and dark ).

The yogart drops and chocolate is specualy made for hamsters.

I won't give them these treats all the time i usualy give my hamsters a little each after i have cleaned there cage.

  4. go to petco and there is a section for small animals and there will be treats for your animal.

  6. Petsmart is the best. And I have a dwaf hamster, too. And I know EVERYTHING about them. The treats that they like are wooden blocks or mini apple treats. And you can get a bowl that is eatable for your hammy. And, Good luck!

  7. Whenever it comes to pets, try to avoid processed food at all costs (stuff that isn't natural like biscuts, chews, ect)

Companies tend to put alot of unhealthy dyes and chemicals in them. Unless they are good for grinding down teeth (like toy wood blocks), do not buy treats from a petstore.

So what I usually give as treats for my hammies are things I wouldn't hesitate to eat, such as-

    Apple

    Romaine lettuce

    Carrot

    Cooked egg yolk

    corn

    sunflower seeds (unsalted)

    strawberry

    Timothy hay

The list goes on. Remember to only feed TINY portions (like the size of your pinky fingernail) and only one treat a day.

If you want more ideas, just google "hamster safe food list"

  8. heres what they can eat:

due to popular belife they cannot eat grapes but they can eat rasins

    lettuce

    carrots (small carrots )

    celery

    dried fruit

    Cooked egg yolk

    corn

    sunflower seeds (unsalted)

TRY to stay away from citrusy fruit like oranges limes and lemons

    Timothy hay

veggies are always good ...If the hamster doesnt eat it right away its okay just wait about 1 1/2 hours and if its still in there throw it out because once it goes bad the the hamster could get sick

they are not allowed cheese,fresh- fruit, chocolate, candy, bread or acidy foods or anything that is not stated that i said or a book says because a hamster can get really sick

these r treats dont forget the regular food =D i hope u enjoy ur new pet... it doesnt matter wht breed of hamster its abut the species

EDIT- do not listern to tht first answerer dont giver ur hamster yogos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
