  1. i dont have a ginny pig.

  2. my teachers piggy liked bamboo.

  3. Yogurt drops are pretty bad for them. You are better off feeding a small piece of carrot or fruit or veggies.

  4. He's addicted to the sugar in the yogurt drops and will die if you only feed him those---They are VERY bad for guinea pigs; you need to stop giving them to him and start feeding him hay, guinea pig pellets, fruit, and veggies.

  5. ?

  6. Celery and peanut butter for my Ginny.

  7. Guinea pigs love treats This is an excellent way to bond with your new pet. Readily available treats include honey sticks, yogurt drops, dried fruit & veggie mixes, flavored crunchy sticks and seed mixes.

Pigs also love fresh fruits and vegetables such as apples, carrots broccoli and dandelion greens (no pesticides please). Fresh foods should be fed only in small amounts because too much can cause stomach upset and diarrhea.

Remember, treats must not replace regular food. They are fun to feed, but too many can cause your guinea pig to get fat and become ill. Treat foods should make up no more than 10% of the diet.

I feed my 2 guinea pigs alf alfa and the traditional wooden sticks you can buy at a pet store.

  8. skip the yogurt and sweets.  feed the pigs lotsa crunchy & leafy veggies and always have timothy hay available.  keep some pellets on hand for nibbling.  humans eat treats -not animals.  celery is very bad for the pig's digestive system cuz of the "strings" -if you need to give the pig celery, use the very bottom of the stalk only.  there is never a need to purchase extra food, just give the pig the same veggies you eat -this is a good incentive to eat better.

  9. My guinea pig loves parsley, kiwis, carrots, timothy hay, oranges, apples, broccoli, cherries (very messy though), grapes, strwaberries, and even grass. You can also choose from a huge variaty of treats at places like Petsmart or even Walmart.
