What treats should i give my 11 year old mare?

We give her apples and carrots and other store bought treats what else should we give her?

i usually give my horses the same but their favorite treat is definitely sugar cubes.

Swedes (chopped) and parsnips usually go down quite well but be careful about giving treats.

I tend to put them in the feed rather than feeding them by hand.

Yup, those you've listed are SAFE treats.  Watermelon rind works too!

you can use some peanut butter. remember that you dont have to give your horse treats. Every so often you can give her a small piece of bread, or some sugar cubes.

Try to limit yourself to healthy snacks, like fruit and vegetables, for the most part.  You can try grapes, pears, corn, apples, carrots, watermelon, etc.  My horse loves the oatmeal cookies from tack shops on a special occasion.

Pears are also a good succulent - so try those.
