What tree has both compound and simple leaves?

I am doing a research project on urban trees, and one of my collected specimens has both compound, feathery leaves and simple leaves. I have never seen anything like it. On some of them, the simple leaves even branch out into the compound. Anyone know what the heck this is?

The juvenile leaves of some Acacia spp. are compound, becoming simple with age. Leaves (phyllodes) sometimes display both characteristics.http://asgap.org.au/acacia.html
