  1. Schneider has its own school in Charlotte. Last 11 days and they even pay lodging and two meals a day. All Paid by them.

They also have a terminal on the S. side of Atl but the clossest school is in Charlotte

  2. Swift and CR England also have "free" CDL training.  I believe there is a Swift school in Tennessee.

CR England's is in Utah....but these companies also pay for your transportation to their loacation plus your room & board while you are in school.   Do keep in mind that if you go the company-training route, you'll have to sign a contract to keep working for that company for 12-18 months to "repay" your schooling.  Should you quit before that time period, you'll owe them money.

Some independent trucking schools offer student loans, and there are also scholarships available especially if you are an adult over 25 seeking a career change, a minority, or a female looking to get into a non-traditional career.   Just figured I'd mention these other options in case you run into trouble with the grant :).

  3. Schneider National on the south side of Atlanta. 800 558 6767
