i don't remember the details as i've watched this years ago, can somebody help me with the title of this tv series?

there's this fat guy who had heart attach (?) while waiting for his train, he fell forward and gets hit and wakes up a different man. some people (could be government people like a secret agency or something) somehow changed him (i think) into a fit person with superhuman abilities (not sure). from then on, he helped others in need but he couldn't be with his wife anymore as he has to keep it a secret (or maybe because his wife would not believe him and she might get scared)

that's all i remembered but i was hoping i can watch it again (which i can't until i figure the title out)

it is not comedy nor a reality show. sort of like in the field of kyle xy. no aliens, no magic (but i think the guy became like a super soldier in this modern world helping regular citizens like the guy in early edition).

help!

  1. Yes, it was Now and Again.  They didn't exactly "change" him; they harvested his brain after his body was destroyed in the train accident and implanted it into a "supersoldier" body that this scientist had created that was absolutely perfect except it couldn't do anything because you can't simulate a human brain, they had to have an actual one to control the body.  John Goodman played the character before the accident, Eric Close (who's now on Without a Trace) played the character in the new body, and Dennis Haysbert (from 24 and The Unit) played the scientist.
