5 ANSWERS

  1. Starters

PG - Chris Paul - Led the League in Assists and Steals

SG - Kobe Bryant - MVP

SF - Lebron James - Runner up in MVP

PF - Kevin Garnett - Defensive player of the Year

    C - Yao Ming - 7'6" Allstar

    Reserves

PG - Deron Williams - He is so good at seeing the floor

SG - Dwayne Wade - Have you seen him dunk?

SF - Tracy McGrady - He is as good as Money!

PF - Chris Bosh - He single handedly carries the Raptors

    C - Dwight Howard - BEAST!

PG - Steve Nash - 2 time MVP

C - Tim Duncan - Very intimidating with a lot of experience

FIlling out the 15 man roster

PF - Amare Stoudemire - Very Versatile, Can Play Center, and both Forward positions

SG - Gilbert Arenas - MR. Clutch, good to have at the end of the game and he can play both guard positions

SF - Carmelo Anthony - He is a well rounded player

  2. PG - Deron Williams

    SG - Kobe Bryant

    SF - LeBron James

    PF - Dirk Nowitzki

    C - Dwight Howard

Bench: Chris Paul, Shane Battier, Dwyane Wade, Tayshaun Prince, Amare Stoudemire, Kevin Garnett, Yao Ming

My Starters: They have strong a strong lineup with Deron Williams, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Dwight Howard. I put Dirk in the line up so that he can space the floor inside shooting 3s. With his height, he is also a match up problem I also put Deron in the line up because he has higher FG% and 3 PT % than Chris Paul. Kobe, LeBron, and Dwight are obvious choices as starters.

Bench: Shane Battier and Tayshaun Prince are more effective as spot up shooters so I benched Paul because he has much less TO's than Deron Williams. Also, both Shane and Prince are lock down defenders. I first considered Peja over Shane because of his very high 3 pt % but I preferred Shane's defense more than Peja shooting 7% better from 3s than Shane. Combine Shane and Tayshaun's man-to-man, perimeter, lock down defense with the 2008 DPOY's post defense, Kevin Garnett. You now have a bench who will choke the other team on the floor. Also, as tall as Yao is, you can't deny him. But if you think Yao is too thin, then maybe you can play the very athletic Amare in the PF position with Yao. Dwyane Wade is the spark scorer off the bench.

That's not the best talent. But those guys are humble (except Kobe, but he's a veteran so more or less his mind is more mature) and will form chemistry. There's also veteran presence who could mentor the younger guys. Moreover, as young as Paul and Williams are, they are already huge stars in the NBA. Also, there's so much defensive players there without the lack of offensive players. There's also a dangerous combination of inside-outside scorers. They are also not an injury-prone team. Wade got injured once, but now he's back. I think that team is very balanced. The only problem I see is who'll take the shot at crunch time. That's where Kobe or LeBron might fight.

    Who got left out? Why?

Carmelo Anthony - His mind may be a little too immature.

Michael Redd - Very one sided game. Although people may say Dirk is only good for shooting, with his size, he rebounds too. If Redd is cold, he won't be good for anything else.

Tim Duncan - He's becoming more inconsistent with his age (even though he's just as old as Garnett, KG just won DPOY, so I chose KG instead).

    Steve Nash - no defense

Jason Kidd - look how he does in the olympics. I got disappointed in the trade. I'm an avid Mavericks fan.

    Carlos Boozer - no defense

Chris Bosh - I prefer a veteran KG, an athletic Amare, and a unique match-up problem Dirk

  3. PG - Chris Paul

    SG - Kobe Bryant

    SF - LeBron James

    PF - Tim Duncan

    C - Dwight Howard

    Reserves:

    Deron Williams

    Paul Pierce

    Kevin Garnett

    Dwayne Wade

    Yao Ming

    Tracy McGrady

    Carmelo Anthony

They will dominate in every category.

  4. i'll make a logically possible line-up (can be possibly made)

ann all-star line up is really impossible financially

    STARTER

    PG - Jason Kidd (leader/playmaker)

SG - JR Smith (athletic energetic guard with perimeter shooting)

SF - Stephen Jackson (spot shooter, shutdown defender, swingman)

PF - Amare Stoudemire (athletic energetic offensive big man)

C - DeSagana Diop (hardworking center, relentless with the ball)

    BENCH

PG - Anthony Carter (good off-the-bench roleplaying pointguard)

SG - Francisco Garcia (perimeter shooter/defender)

SF - James Posey (clutch defender and perimeter shooter)

PF - Sean Williams (energetic athletic defensive big man)

C - Joakim Noah (energetic athletic defensive big man)

    RESERVE

SF/PF - Antoine Walker (perimeter shooter big man)

PG/SG - Eddie House (perimeter shooting guard)

kidd (provides ball movement, and everything else) is in charge of leadership, and carter will exchange minutes with him

jr smith is athletic and can make alleyoops with kidd, and a perimeter threat too... respectable defensive player... garcia (a perimeter shooting and defensive roleplayer) subs for him.

    s. jackson is the shutdown defender and excellent spot shooter... his point guard skills and defensive awareness are underrated... posey fills up for him... posey is a clutch essential for a good team

stoudemire is the primary offensive threat in the post... makes up in offensive intensity what he lacks in defense... can run pick and rolls and alleyoops... a great complement for kidd... sean william (a wickedly athletic defensive forward center that can run pick and rolls)subs for him. plus sean williams can learn offense from stoudemire.

diop and noah are defensive centers that are energetic and relentless with the ball... very good roleplayers

toine walker (big man) and eddie house provides perimeter scoring

i emphasize that players must know and do their roles and be committed with that... balancing energy and discipline... trust and knowledge among teammates is important too...

i would like phil jackson and byron scott as coach... because  doesn't sacrifice the all-out defense for energetic offense fully... and they can make clutch decisions
