What two characters are easy to compare & contrast from the movie the Green Mile?

Try Percy and Paul Edgecomb - Both in the same job but have different approaches as to how to do that job.  For instance, how Percy mistreated the inmates and how Paul treated them. He never yelled or raised his voice and he always tried to keep the inmates happy.  Except, of course, for Wild Bill.

Or how Percy seemed to have a lust for killing. For Paul, I think, that was the worst part of his job.

Wow, those were the two characters I had in mind when I read the title of this question. Personally, I think they're the easiest to c&c because their personalities are so different. One is sadistic and the other full of selflessness and compassion.
