Question:

What two colors make another color....?

ok i have to do a project with 3-5 yr olds, and i have to do something like this....im gonna have a water bottle and its gonna have water in it....the kids are then gonnna put drops of food coloring in it to change the color of water and there gonna add another color to change it again....

i knw

-red and yellow make orange

-blue and yellow makes green

-blue and red makes purple...

but the prob is they only can have one bottle so im trying to have it go in order...so like if A+B makes C then if u add D to C it makes E and so on...

any suggestions... please help

this is due tomorrow and my partner dropped out so i got nuttin else :(

  1. My advice would be to let different groups of kids experiment with the three possible color changes.  For example: red and yellow make orange.  If you mix them in equal amounts you get this shade of orange.  If you add more yellow, you get this shade.  More red gives you this.  There is no way to order the experiment to get all three color changes out of one bottle without using other chemicals.  So if you divide up the group into three groups you can let them see who comes up with the nicest colors by adding more or less of a certain primary color.


  2. i don't think there's any possible way to do what you're thinking of.just keep dumping the water out.....
