My step daughter's 20th birthday is Sunday, and she LOVES strawberries dipped in chocolate, so I am going to fix them for her. I need to know what kind of chocolate to buy, and also, how to fix it if anyone knows. Thanks in advance!

  1. Semi sweet chocolate chips melted.  Nestle and Ghiradelli are two good ones.  Also, it's pretty if you drizzle white chocolate across the dark!

  2. semi-sweet chocolate is a nice balance for sweet berries.  Nestle chips are fine to melt and use.

  3. I normally just melt chocolate chips with a piece of paraffin wax. The wax helps the chocolate harden and look shinny

  4. there is a microwavable chocolate sold at grocery stores. It is like chocolate chips in a container all you do is microwave it its good

  5. the best chocolate has the highest cocoa content- most professionals don't use under 70%, it should be on the packet. Melt the chocolate in a bowl over boiling water- or hold the pot above the flame or heat as it can burn really easily, then just dip the strawberries and sit on baking paper or foil so that you can peel them off when they set- good luck

  6. there is a really good cooking chocolate called NESTLÉ PLAISTOWE. break it up into small pieces and put in microwave on low setting. stir very often. make sure u use a metal spoon otherwise the moisture in the wooden spoon could cause the chocolate to seize and go hard..  dip washed and dried strawberries in choc and place on non stick paper to set. mmmmmm they are so good. have fun and enjoy
