What type o spider is thiss?

i hate spiders but im really intrested in them. ino im some kinda nerdd lol but anyway i was at my friendsz house today and when she went 2 turn on the tv this minging spider crawled out from underneath it. IT WAS HUGE33!! it had black legs and a red body.

Im from the uk so it wasnt no trantula just a small thing but it was big 2 me cos i hate them smelly creatures.

do uno what type of spider it could be?

was its hole body red or did it have a red stripe up its back??

if so it was a black widow spider

It was probably a black widow, they have black legs and a red rectangle or hourglass shape on their back.
