I am traceing my family tree and have found my great, great grandmothers marriage certificate, her occupation is a daefmaker, I have tried to research this but have drawn a blank, it could be an abreviation or a spelling mistake but I'm hopeing someone knows what it means.

  1. I'm almost positive this should be dressmaker. If the original certificate is available, check it. They used to write ss as f's.

  2. I agree if this is 18th century that this is probably written as dresfmaker ie dressmaker.
