  1. DVD-R is DVD+R it means DVD Recordable. Like you can Record your movies onto it once and then watch it on Dvd players but then afterwards if your done you can't burn a 2nd dvd onto it or over it. Its one time burning.

DVD-RW is DVD Rewritable so you can burn a movie watch it then burn another movie over it..watch it.

Either one it doesnt matter. Do you like keeping the dvds then go for DVD-R

If you don't care about the dvds after you watched them go for DVD RW

  2. SAMSUNG is the best

  3. As of now DVD-R has more compatibility with most DVD players nationwide. I also recommend burning at half-speed of your burner when burning movies, for it decreases the chance of a failed burning, even though it's rare for burned DVD's at max speed to fail, it's always better to increase your chances for a successful burn.

    All in all, DVD-R.

  4. I think that you should buy a Samsung 22x DVD burner, it burns at a high speed and performance is OK, or you can buy a Sony DVD writer

  5. Since most question are answered...

a DVD ROM with higher #x will give you faster burning speed... but overall, burning speed really depends on your computer. If your computer has higher CPU and power, the process may be faster compared to a computer with high-speed DVD-ROM but less-powered computer
