What type of Drugs are Police dogs Trained to Detect

what are some effective ways of throwing the dogs off of the scent. Also, more specifically are police dogs trained to detect magic mushrooms, and how vigilante are narcotics officers in find mushrooms.

when smuggling drugs i find it useful to get a mate to go through customs first carrying aniseed balls, dogs go mad for them and it throws them of my scent.

My husband had a drug dog for years, she could sniff out every drug, or money. Whether it was very well hidden or covered with anything. She was truly amazing.

Dude Matt what are you doing??  You're on here, in the law enforcement section which is dominated by cops, first asking about the severity of penalties for possessing shrooms then asking how to cover up the scent....

It sounds like you're conspiring to move a chunk of mushrooms somewhere, and in some states it is illegal just to have a plan to do that.  It's called a criminal conspiracy, and you just have to have the plan, not necessarily carry it out successfully.

HI there i work with police sniffer dogs and there sense of smell is 10 times greater then any humans there is nothing really what you can do to cover the smell of drugs up because once you have touched the drugs it then releases it from your hands then you may wash your hands to get rid of it but then they tap will have residue on and your close fibres will collect the smell. But sniffer dogs can detect all types of drugs even if they have been sealed in a bag etc. I just wouldn't carry them at all.

This thread is full of misinformation.  Drug dogs are trained to detect specific things, like you dont have a catch all drug dog.  They find what they are trained to find.  If the substance is airtight, the dog cannot smell it.  Plastic bags breath slowly, they are not air tight.  Usually what the dogs smell is residue, and most likely it will be pot that tips them off.  On the doorknob or handle, on the outside of the baggie.  On your clothes, your hands.

I assume you are asking this for legal purposes only.  Basically drug dogs are hard to evade.  Just do not break the law, and do not consent to any contact with the police, and you should not really have a problem.

There's not anything you can do to keep dogs from smelling the drugs only if you're trying to do a great quantity and I'm not going to tell you how to do that.  I don't give things like this out over the net or anywhere else because it's illegal.
