First and foremost. Blood, Needles, and Pulses (Heartbeats) all make me nauseous.

You don't have to be a MD and work with all that stuff. I.E - A pharmacist...but I really think that job would get old and boring, so I am trying to see what other ppl think I could be a good candidate for.

Any ideas?

  1. You don't really fit into the medical field.  The only thing you could work with would be psychiatry.  You could be a pharmacist, but if you are grossed out by all those things and looking for excitement in the medical field then you are out of luck.

Maybe you should consider another field.

  2. Well, anesthesia is out!

Even if you choose to become a psychiatrist, you'll still have to go through rotations in surgery and other bloody, needley, pulsey things during medical school.

(Psych patients sometimes do bloody things, or need injections, so even there, you're not immune)

You might want to think outside of medicine.  Or learn to deal with blood, needles and pulses.  Especially pulses.

  3. psychiatrists

  4. Hmm... being grossed out by all that stuff would certainly limit your options.  Probably psychiatry is the area where you would have the least call to cross paths with your list of no-nos.  Maybe radiology.

  5. well, based on your description a pathologist would fit. the blood is all coagulated and there is no pulse.

    maybe optometrist?

  6. chiropractor
