  1. Bach is better than them all.

  2. Hi MusicG

King still make one of the best trumpet ever. I used to sell them and had the chance to hear the gold-plated silver bell and the sound was out of this world.

My brass section in the studio have King trumpets and Sax and Trombone. I see a lot of musician in the studio and , King and Selmer are the most used.

I amnot saying Conn is garbage and far form this. I am just stating that King make the finest in brass instruments.

  3. It depends on the age of the horns we’re talking about. Out of the current new horn I would say the (C.G.) Conns are the best. With the Kings coming in at a close second and Bundys coming in as third. Older horns (like horns from the 1930’s, 40’s, 50’s) the Kings are the best with the (C.G) Conns coming in second and the Bundys again coming in third. While these are good companies there are better horns out there. I’m a big fan of the Getzen Horns. They’re a black sheep of a company but their departure from conventional wisdom has produce incredibly good horns at decent prices. The top three horn companies out there in my opinion are Schilke, Kanstul, and Getzen. While many people recommend Bach instruments, the company has been plague with employee strikes, falling standards and poor quality control. The best made Bachs are indeed great horns however there are many “clunker” Bachs floating around as well so there is a risk in buying a Bach, especially with mail order. But if you’re sticking with the three horn companies you’ve mention in your question I suggest getting a (C.G.) Conn or a King before you get a Bundy.

  4. I think Conn and King are better than Bundy. I would get either of those ones.
