What type of Windows OS install disk do I need?

If I have a computer with no operating system that has been custom built what do I need to buy the OEM windows disk or the Upgrade windows disk to make it genuine? Thanks :)

  1. You need to find windows xp pro, If needed I have a disk that i can send to you. I curently live in denver and will ship it to you but contact me via email to descuss more.

  2. Upgrade editions require proof of a participating upgrade product. That would include most versions of XP, and probably Server 2003 and Windows 2000, too. OEM versions are for people building new PCs, and have some activation quirks. Both will make it MS Genuine (TM) and you can probably use either way.
