  1. I chose not to adopt but to foster families.

Children shouldn't be taken away from their mothers just because there are no jobs for them to able to work and a govt that will not help them.   I have a conscience and could never use or take advantage of another person in need just to get a kid like too many aps do.

  2. I didn't choose any adoption, my adoption was chosen against my will. I am an adoptee, and adoptees more often than not, have no say in their adoption. If we did have a say, things would be MUCH different, our rights would be intact, we wouldn't be being discriminated against and i'm sure prices wouldn't be on our heads and skin in the manner they are.

When you as a prospective adoptive parent look into adoption, make sure your "choices" are in respect to the adoptee, honoring him/her as a human being who deserves to be first.

  3. Domestic open adoption.  Working on doing it a second time around.

  4. My friends used International. They've adopted a beautiful pair of twin girls from China and named them Melody and Harmony.

They're currently in the process to adopt another girl from China, and hope to be bringing her home sometime in the next six months.

  5. Foster Care Adoption for us. Three times and working on our fourth. We would do it again in a heart beat.

  6. I  would adopted from children services because there are a lot of great kids out their that somtimes people overlook cause they think something is wrong with them which is not the case all the time

  7. I chose open domestic adoption.  I would do it again.  I enjoy having their natural families in their life...and of course, so do they!  I personally would not go the closed adoption route.

  8. We adopted internationally from China and are crazy in love with our daughter (3). After much discussion, we decided that the wait for China was simply too long now (up to 6 years), so again, after much research we decided to pursue an adoption through our local children's aid.

  9. We chose Childrens Services, three times.

  10. Thomas, I hear you.

We chose foster care adoption.  Haven't had a placement yet, but we'll be going to committee in 2-3 weeks, so we'll see.  I wouldn't choose any other form of adoption.

  11. domestic close adoption

I would def do that again

  12. We adopted two school age siblings from Liberia.
