What type of animals are in the jungle of costa rica???

im planning a trip to costa rica n i jus wanted to know what type of animals there are....?

In Costa Rica rain forest are found more than 100 species of mammals including 5 species of cats, over 400 species of birds including 30 kinds of hummingbirds, tens of thousands of insect species (over 5000 species of moths) and 2,500 species of plants (420 kinds of orchids)

More than 40 species between poisonous and nonpoisonous serpents, terrestrial reptiles, small lizards, iguanas, frogs, amphibians and some turtles. The Jaguar, Ocelot, Baird´s Tapir, Three-wattled Bellbird, Bare necked Umbrella bird and the famous elusive Resplendent Quetzal. Also Howler Monkeys and butterflys and a few others I forgot.

I don't know all the animals (i know there are a lot) but the coolest ones we saw during a hike through a rain forrest (may have been a cloud forest - can't remember) were the howler monkeys.  Oh man!  They are terrifying!!  It's one thing to see them howling on the discovery channel but when they are only about 50ft away that is something crazy!!  Have fun in Costa Rica - Say hi to the hippies in Monteverde for me!
