  1. Check out the following website for preschoolers: www.perpetualpreschool.com.  They have tons of ideas for art in all kinds of genres.  I use the ideas on this site in my preschool class all the time.

  2. You can take potatoes and make stamps.  The thing I have found they like to do is use the stamp with finger paint.  The kids like to glue things to other items.  You can have each child decorate pots for plants with paint.

  3. You can do soooo many things!! What kind of art are you looking for? Do you have certain supplies that you want to create with? Is there a theme to your art?

Since I don't have specifics of what you're looking for, and there are too many ideas to list... try searching around these sites and see if anything interests you!

If you want any suggestions for something specific, just let me know!

  4. You can dip combs in ink or paint and make striped animals, stencils, finger painting, you can crumple tissue paper into little balls and glue them on to a drawing of a squirrel's tail, or something along the lines of that, cotton balls glued onto pictures of bunnies, transparent blue suran paper onto pictures of fish they can draw to make it look like they're under water, basically using stuff other than paper, paint, crayons, etc. it keeps them interested, so they can play along with the textures and shapes to make crafts. My mom bought alot of craft books when I was little, and those are the ones I remeber the most, you can buy them at craft stores, theres tons of ideas.

  5. Finger painting, Esle painting, Collage art, play doh, i like to paint with their feet.....on the floor tape down butcher paper and add some paint (tempra) and some dish soap (helps wash off) And put the kids in old clothes and let them paint bare foot....i did it with 2 yr olds (6 in all) and they loved it!!!  I also like to put out different things like paper crayons, markers, stamps, old wall paper some glue and cut outs and let them make their own art.  I dont EVER use food when i do art!!!!  Its kinda disrecpectful.  What if you have a child in your class who doesnt get to eat like he or she should because they are poor.  Its a waste of food that could be used to feed a child or their family!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Anything fun and easy! These kind of arts interest them and they won't get bored easily. You can let them do finger painting, coloring, drawing, etc.

  7. crafts involving glue, popsicle sticks, macaroni construction paper - clay.  painting either finger or with a brush.  coloring sculpture from clay, bits of fabric glued to a surface.  Any type of art older children can do  the pre-schooler can do.  Nature crafts - leaves sticks little rocks glued to make a picture.  The imagination is the only limit.  Good luck -k-

  8. U can make like portraits out of noodles and use food to create things.........hope it'll help....

  9. Preschoolers love art!!

You can paint (use tempra or watercolor), color, make clay sculptures, glue glitter, cotten balls, macaroni, and cereals to paper.

Some craft ideas i have used with my students (i am a speech therapist and provide one on one intervention):

    1)  coffee filter butterflies:   use watercolor paints to decorate 2 coffee filters.  The paper is such that the water color paints will spread and become very pretty.  Once the filters are dry, smoosh the filters down the center and secure them together with a pipe cleaner.  Twist the tops of the pipe cleaners together to become the antena.

    2)  "Hair Cups"----have child use parkers, paints, whatever to draw a face on a small clay pot.  (use the smallest you can get at the craft store).  I have also used styrofoam cups.  Once the face is done, put dirt in the pot and plant grass seed on top.  THe child can watch the "hair" grow!  I have even had some children enjoy giving their pots a haircut!

  10. Finger painting!!! Especially with pudding so they can eat it at the same time!

  11. holidays art and craft
