I found some older speakers I had lying around, but I can't remember how I hooked them up anymore. I just want to know what plugs into these on the speakers.

  1. we use to call them A/B plugs but I havent seen them in a long time

    I'd take them out & install a 1/4 " pin female jack

  2. you simply use normal speaker wires but leave the metal connectors in unless you want to bi-wire the system (prob not).

  3. Nice speakers! I have some model E Snells I bought 20+ years ago, and they are still some of the best speakers I have.

You can wire "normally" (single pair of wires to one black and one red post) or Bi-wire (see link) or bi-amp them by taking out the jumper. I have mine wired "normally" with banana plugs to one red and one black post (jumpers in). But speaker wires with lugs or pins or wire direct to the holes in the posts will all work.

  4. The speakers are bi-ampable. They can be hooked up with just speaker wire, but you should replace the paper clip with something better

  5. Looks like you could either use bare speaker wires or banana plugs for your speaker connections.
