Ok yahooians. I am looking into buying either:

2 06 Kenwood subs 12" (1500w each, 3000w total)

2 Pioneer Premier subs 12" (1200w each, 2400w total)

2 Volfenhag subs 12" (1000w each, 2000w total. Double sized magnet)

i will be getting one of those. I was also into looking for a box then. My friend suggested that i get a Bandpass box from ebay, but i have heard bad things abotu bandpass(unless specially made for your subs). i was thinking more along the lines of a ported/vented box for them. Space isnt really a problem as i have a Jeep. I just want whatever i can get to make my subs sound the best AND NOT BLOW! Thanks!

  1. sealed

  2. I wouldn't get a bandpass box unless you had limited space and where trying to really pound out certain frequencies.  A regular ported box is going to give you the illusion of more bass and you'll feel the lower notes the most.  A sealed box is probably what I'd go with, you'll lose a tad bit of rumble...but with 2 12" subs you'll be fine.  The seals box give you the most thump and accurate frequency response.

  3. ported all the way
