What type of bread is good to serve with salad?

If the salad is complicated or full of stuff, (like a Cobb salad) serve a simple crusty French bread. If the salad is just basic greens, serve garlic cheese toast or buttered rolls.

I like what everyone's suggested, plus small whole wheat rolls. Depending on the salad, like for a Mexican-themed salad, if you want to impress people, you could do cornbread - it's different.

I always buy the french loaf and put it in the oven for a few minutes and it tastes so good..

I love Caesar Salad greatly, and have it on a regular basis, with it, i almost always have a buttered & toasted everything-on-it bagle with it.
