Question:

What type of bread should I use for Romescu sauce?

I know it should be day old, but I want to know the type.

  2. I agree with Renee and would add even a dry baguette or another crusty Italian or low fat loaf. Just cut it and ry it in the oven on 150d F for 1 hour and leave it there to cool or do this late at night and take it out the next day, then use it for you sauce, I love to make Italian bread salads and the soups with it either the bean one or the tomato based ones, I like abit in my gazpacho also.
