  1. I've had a love of Siberian Huskies since I bought my first one, Mataki, over 14 years ago.  I recently had to have her euthanized which just broke my heart, but it was the best thing to do considering her kidneys were failing.

I currently also have a 9 year old who comes from working lines (his daddy has run the Iditarod a few times).  I love their intelligence and their energy, but they also have a tendency toward having VERY short attention spans.  They are also adept escape artists.  They can be very challenging for a person like my boyfriend who has very little patience and a loud voice.  Huskies are EXTREMELY in tune to your emotions and really want to please you, but they will run whenever they can.

  2. Pugs!

They're beautiful, cute, happy and funny.

  3. I was always a fan of Golden Retrievers.  They were beautiful and smart.  BUT they shed an awful lot, and are bigger dogs.

Then last year we got outselves a ShihTzu.  I was never one for "little yappy dogs" but he is 12 pounds, so not tiny at all, but not big either.  Lots of hair yes, but barely sheds at all!  Go figure!  And brilliant.  I mean, this dog is smart.  And so are the other ones from his liter so Im guessing its the breed.  I tell him "Where's Hayley?" (My daughter) and he runs to the window to wait for her bus.  We had a squirrel in the house, and I would say "Ace, go get him!" and he would run into the kitchen and look for it.  I swear he understands sentances, not just words. :) He's loving, caring and rarely barks.

Im sold on this breed for the rest of my life. :)

  4. I have always loved the bigger breeds of dogs such as the German Shepard, Dobies, St. Bernards, Labs.  I love all dogs.  One of my favorite dogs I had was a small terrier mix.  All dogs are awesome, with the lone exception of the chihuahua.  I think a rat and a small terrier had some love making session and out popped out a chihuahu.

  5. Papillon & Lhasa Apso!

  6. I am a fan of

    Golden Retrievers

    Siberian Huskies

    West Highland Terrier

Matikibud: I'm so sorry for your loss.  About 2 weeks ago, i had to put my little two year old West Highland Terrier down for Kidney problems as well ..

  7. Golden Retrievers! I just got a new puppy who is now 12 weeks (as of today) and she is the greatest pup!

I love this breed because they are so sweet, kind to everyone, they love to swim, and fetch, and they are beautiful!

But, mutts are always great too! I have a mutt with any breed you can think of tossed in (pitt//rott.german/beagle) And he is great and fabulous too!

I also have a shih tzu, she is nice and loving!

But, overall in purebred breeds, I love the golden retriever!

  8. boxers there so cute       i also like blue sharpays

  9. A border collie. They are the most friendly dogs I've ever had yet at the same time will protect you like you are their child.

  10. i love staffs! they are so loving and protective (in the right hands) they are fantastic with kids. I have 2 staffs and 2 kids and even though both my daughters can be quite rough with them they have NEVER shown there teeth, growled or bitten. They are truly the best dogs ever.

They do however have a bit of bad press which is down to irresponsible idiots who have no morales.

  11. I love golden retrievers, their good with kids & other pets also their very friendly, and smart.

  12. I have always loved Doberman Pinchers, and have had one around

always, ever since my first one, many years ago. I love ALL animals

and dogs, but I have this weak spot especially for Dobies. I have

found them to be so very intelligent, well behaved, and always have

shown me lots of love in return. All but one, that I had gotten from

a older couple who had lived in a beautiful, well to do area with a barranca in their back yard. That was one dog who had shook

nervously from head to toe, and was like a robot. It was not adjusting

to us at all, and when the day came after about a week, that he was growling and drooling at my son, who was only 6 then, and would not let him enter the house, I had to give him back. Luckily, they

accepted him back, understanding my situation. But, other than that one, I would put all my faith and trust in the other ones I have owned

and loved. They are very smart, understand well! and love U back !

(as most dogs/animals do! As long as you love them!)

  13. Pomeranian. I think they are so cute as puppies. They're so cute, that they don't even looks real half the time! And I love how fluffy and cute they always are. :)

  14. I like labradors because they are smart and very loyal to owners.  I have a half bred labrador, her name is princess, and she's already 14 months old.  She's so smart and so sensitive to my moods.

  15. Giant Schnauzer.

What more can you get from a large worker? Runs around the country with a leash in your hand and a companion by your side. Trained to protect your home, your family, yourself. Cautious of strangers and aware of your own caution. Totally loyal to you and never want to leave your side. What more can I ask for in a dog?

They're large, intelligent, loyal.. Amazing dogs. Go well in any environment with the right adjustments. Groomed correctly, and they are absolutely stunning.

I couldn't imagine myself with any other breed besides the Giant Schnauzer. I'm obsessed about them. My desktop is littered with pictures.

Heh. My family says I'm too attached to a dog I've never owned. *shrugs* I know when I do get my Giant, I'll never spend a minute alone again. ^_^

  16. Stuffed
