Question:

What type of bugs when they bite the area swells up, the area is hard?

and red and does not itch like usually bug bites do?

I got a couple of those and I want to know what bug did this so I can keep an eye out so I can kill them first next time.

(theres no bug section that I could find, so i put the question here)

  1. When those bugs that draw (suck) your blood through their very thin "straws". They wouldn't be able to do this without their being able to inject an anticoagulant before they start sucking. This is usually a form of Fomaldehyde. Your bodies reaction to this causes the symptoms you describe.


  2. As others said its true some may get infected some may not, some bugs when bite gets swelling are bees, some type ants, bed bugs, etc...

    They are all due to a chemical called formic acid, this acid creates irritating sensation hence we scratch that area and the swelling gets bigger...

  3. it isnt the type of bug, its your bodies reaction to whatever stung you.  most people have a reaction to stings.  your particular reaction may not be typical with others.  you just may be more allergic to this particular bug than others.  it may also be infected.  let your body do its work.
