What type of burger do you love?

I don't like ground beef but my husband does, he loves burgers, so I am writing a cook book of burger using ground turkey. I wanted to know what are some of the best burgers you have had? (i.e. luau burger)

I love teriyaki burgers with a ring of pineapple on them. Not everyone will love the pineapple, but trust me, it's good. You can also try an ostrich burger if you don't like beef. It's a red meat and has that rich taste, but if you object to eating beef because it's from a cow and would prefer fowl, this is a perfect compromise.

I like mushroom and swiss burgers with tomatoes, lettuce and onions.

For a cool, summer variation of your turkey burgers you can add some jerk seasoning to your meat mixture and serve with a few slices of pineapple on the bun, along with your tomatoes, lettuce etc

Also instead of putting ketchup on your burger you can add 1 tsp of jerk seasoning to some honey bbq sauce:)

Try this one ,

grill your burger , after it's cooked to your liking , add a slab of Bermuda onion , , tablespoon of coleslaw,k some french fries , any cheese you like , , and some onion rings ..... this is not put on a regular hamburger bun , I usa a half a loaf of  Italian bread , . It's a favorite here in SW Pa.

PS: also tomatoes  and lettuce , if you like .

yeah i love turkey burgers ,they are my favourite!

i find homemade are better than shop bought as there isnt a lot of choice in the shops for turkey burgers!

heres my recipe

2 shallots finely chopped or grated

2 teaspoons grated cheese of your choice

7oz turkey mince

salt and pepper

parsley

breadcrumbs

1 egg yolk beaten to bind

just mix all these ingriedients and shape into burgers and grill or oven or fry in olive oil for 10 mins or until cooked and golden!serve with potatoes or potato rosti and salad!

I recently changed my diet and this is one of the changes I have made. Buffalo taste alot like beef and is about 90+ percent healthier. Turkey is a lot healthier than beef like around 95% and it tastes different. When I make the turkey burgers I put in some garlic, pepper, salt, onions, and a tiny bit of bread crumb and it makes it a whole lot better. But if you are looking for a healthy close tasting substitute I would go with buffalo
