As a mother of four myself (5 if you include my husband) my suggestion would be to start a home based business.  This way you can run your business out of your home with your three kids (4 if you count your husband LOL)  Anyhow, there are so many home based businesses out there to look into.  My husband and I have had ours for over seven years now.  You have the same income opportunity as a traditional business without all the over head expenses.  Just about everything you use on a daily bases in your home such as your telephone, cellular phone, Internet, electricty, gas and even car expenses all become tax write off's.

There are plenty of business opportunities out there like this. You just need to figure out which one you'd like to do based on your interest or things you already know how to do. My idea is a very simple business in which I have experience in. I know a lot of people in this industry as well. It's in the telecommunications industry. You can collaborate with a 15 year old world wide company that's the largest direct selling telecommunications service provider in the world. You can market local and long distance telephone services, Internet services, digital and video phone services, Satellite TV services as well as all major cellular phone providers. You can save people money on services that they are already using and paying for, and offer people services that they don't already have. After helping someone on an existing service, or providing a new service, every single month these people pay their bills, you make a percentage of month after month, year after year. That is just one way you can make a living in this industry.

The company in which my opinion is the best type of business to collaborate with, you can read about them in several magazines that they've been featured in. Such as USA Today, Success, Fortune etc. Inc 500 also rated them the 22nd fastest growing company. Donald Trump has also endorsed this company, uses the product and is highly involved in the company. So anyhow, in my opinion that is the type of business in which you can start even before you leave your banking job.  

I would strongly suggest you start a business before leaving your job and build it on the side for a little while.  Businesses don't always start off running making the income that you once made.  You have to build the business to the point that you feel comfortable in leaving your current job.  Most people do this, so that they have a steady income while they are building their business.  I suggest you do this too.
