What type of camcorder should I buy to record my daughter's 2 hour performance?

We only have a VCR and DVD to view the performance after its finish. The only TVs we own have hook ups in the back. Our computer access is only through the library and work so we wouldn't be able to download it.

  1. In this case, you should a DVD camcorder that records straight to DVD.  They cost a pretty penny, but it records straight to DVD.  Ask an employee at Best Buy or any store like that for assistance.

  2. Since you don't have a PC, If you buy a mini dvd camcorder, once you finalize the mini dvd disc in your camera, then you can view them directly in your TV's DVD player. If you buy a minidv camcorder you will only be able to watch the video on your camera, if you  get an analog VHS camcorder, well I don't think they even make them anymore. Your best bet would be the mini DVD video camera. If and when you get a PC, you would need to convert the mini dvd files first before you could edit or make copies.
