I'm on the road quite a bit, in the south Texas area. Within a weeks time I saw the same model of car three times that I've NEVER seen before! It's VERY small and rather boxy in appearance. All three were a different color, were going in the opposite direction that I was on a freeway but appeared to be going at least the same speed as I was going which was approx. 60 mph. So I'm not sure if there is an electric car out there that I haven't heard of yet that can go that fast??? My curiosity is driving me nuts! If any of you out there have any ideas and possible links to a website where I might get another look at it I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

  1. It's an import SMART car!

    if it's electric it's a FLYBO

    or a WINDFIRE

    see link below for pictures

  2. Smart ForTwo.

    Edit:

It wasn't the Cube. The Cube isn't "very small." It also doesn't look like it could be electric the way the Smart ForTwo does. While it isn't electric, it's a reasonable guess if you've never seen the thing before.

  3. Smart ForTwo.  its new<33

  4. Smart Fortwo.

It is a gas powered car that uses a 3 cylinder Mercedes engine with 71HP.

It only gets up to 41mpg highway and only comes in automatic transmission. It gets up to around 90mph and does the 0-60mph in around 13 seconds.

That is very bad considering the bigger, faster Honda Civic only gets 1-3mpg worse.

The Smart Fortwo came out in 1998 in Europe and 2008 in America, so it is a pretty old design.

It only seats 2 people, no trunk space, bad reliability.

It is expensive too for a small car that does not save you money.

$11,500 for the base model with no A/C or power windows or locks and no cd player. And the price goes up to $18,000 for all of that.

  5. Well I think that you could be talking about a Nissan Cube, they look like boxes on wheels, and they are not electric.
