I am in the market for a new car, one that is affordable, I am starting my first year at college and i am traveling there everyday instead of living on campus, its like a 30 minute drive so it would need to be good on gas and comfortable. Any suggests?

(i am a girl and i can afford it because my parents are paying for half)

  1. Chevrolet Malibu, good mileage, safe, sharp, great ride and looks, dependable, American made, fun to drive, front wheel drive, lots of room, we have one with over 150,000 wih minimal maintenance issues.

  2. A Honda

    A used Acura

    A Toyota

    A Mazda

    A Scion

A F-150 or Corvette we don't wanna lose the American Spirit righ !?!?!

  3. Why not a base 5-speed Yaris. About 11,000 before the loss-leader discount, you supply the aftermarket radio and fortitude against hot summers. It can get in the low 40's on the highway and should prove very reliable. If you can't live with a base Yaris (people are so fussy :D,) The more basic Corollas have a decent (excessive?) assortment of equipment and achieve figures in the high 30's. They're far more roomy, but probably cost closers to 16,000 or 16.5K after discounts. Also give a look to the Fit, Civic, and other small non-hybrids. If you're a detroit loyalist, America's not got much for you. Pontiac sells a badge engineered Toyota Matrix, and GM sells the cheap but cheap Daewoo-made Chevy Aveo. Made either in Mexico or Korea of Korean-made parts, buying Japanese probably would help the US economy more. I know nothing of the Ford Focus other that it's very popular and people seem to like them.

Also, don't get spendthrift and discount lightly used late model autos.

  4. Depending on where you live, I would go for a Hyundai car or Honda CR-V for poor weather.

  5. Toyota is the most reliable, while the Ford Focus and Fusion have excellent fuel economy and a very good service record. Chevrolet's Impala is a very comfortable car, with good power but I'm not too sure about the fuel consumption. Honda has the best price and very good quality plus economy, but not overly sure about the comfort level.

  6. Any new Japanese car:

    Honda Civic

    Toyota Corolla

    Nissan Altima

    Honda Accord

    Toyota Camry

    Honda CRV

    Hyundai Elantra

    Volvo C30

    Good luck!

  7. nissan sentra , toyota corolla
