I'm going to college next year, and while I know that I want to work with animals, I don't know what job best suits me or what type of education I should pursue.

Well, I do want to make a decent amount of money, but it's not all about the cash. I want to love what I do and be able to make a living off of it.

I'm not sure what type of animals I want to work with, as I love them all! I have been back and forth a lot between dog training, marine animal conservation, and zoological researcher/journalist. The only problem is that it is difficult to find these kinds of jobs and that they typically don't pay any more than 30,000 a year. I can't think of any jobs that really suit me, and I don't know how to go about getting them! (Education wise.)

I do plan on attending a four year university next year... Please give me some suggestions!

  2. They say the jobs you love the most you wont make that much money doing it. Doing what you love is more important than money.

Some jobs you can make $40,000 to $60,000.

    Go here:

    http://www.anapsid.org/resources/jobs.ht...

Look up these jobs here: http://www.bls.gov/oco/

the bls.gov website will tell you the nature of the work, salary, education, training, facts, etc.

Then go here: http://www.collegeboard.com or here http://www.petersons.com to look up colleges based on what you are looking for and it also tells you how to pay for college as will http://www.fastweb.com. Where you can find scholarships.

Also if you have a career center at your school they can definetely point you in the right direction.
