What type of cleats do you recommend?

right now i have some Nike Mercurial Talaria IV and the are getting old. i am looking to buy new cleats and i would like to take recommendations

Go with the f50 Tunits. They are a real money saver, really comfortable when they get broken in and they have studs. Firm Ground, Soft Ground, and Hard Ground. The Uppers are interchangeable so you can mix colors up. They don't rip either. Or Try the Nike Legends. Wicked comfy cleat and they don't rip. soft material too

If you're a:

-Dribbler : Mercurial Vapors

-Striker (and you want more grip with the ball) : Nike Total 90

-If you want comfort like ronaldinho's shoes: Nike Air Legend / Tiempo

-If you are a Goalkeeper or Defender: Buy anything comfortable, nice, anything you find nice! :)

adidas predator, they pretty comfortable.

i hate Nike Mercurial, i know that they look s**y but they too tight.

i would recommend that you go and try out a few pair. find the ones that work best for you.  just because cristiano uses a certain pair of nikes it doesnt mean that if you use them you're going to do what he does. same goes for the ronaldinho shoes, beckham preds, or terrys umbro.

i use a cheap puma 3.06 that i find comfortable, light, and affordable.  i tried a few of the aforementioned shoes and found that that particular puma works best for me. (ive been playing for a better part of 2 decades now and have realized that if you have a bad touch or cant control a ball no shoe can fix that)

odds are that people have different preferences, foot sizes, foot widths, positions, playing styles, etc. therefor what they like might not suite you best.  

the only thing i would recommend is leather instead of synthetics.
