What type of clothes should I buy for Punta Cana in Late August?

Im to Punta Cana in late August. I'm starting to do my shopping now...is it going to be real hot then? What type of clothes should I bring?

It’s very hot and sunny so bring any summer clothes you can find, shorts, T-Shirts, sandals, tan-tops, etc. The usual temperature is 80 to 89 degrees and sunny, have fun in the beach!

Well, take one suitcase from.. let say Louis Vitton or two?...

No dear I'm just joking! You don't need to buy many things to come to Punta Cana, you will need 2 to 3 bikini's, something

to wear at the way to the pool or beach, and to go to the restaurants or buffet places you can put on something light.

At evening to go to the restaurant you can wear a light robe with a blouse or just a jeans with a shirt... Don't take to much clothing but take something for traveling, when you go on excursions to discover the country and of course for travelling

on the plane. I hope this helped a bit.
