Question:

What type of coaxial cable should I use for OTA (over the air) digital and analog TV...RG6 or RG59?

The down-lead from the Antenna to the power supply is 40' max and the longest (of 6) run inside the house is 60'. All runs start at a distribution amplifier located close to the power supply.

  1. While RG59 may suffice for today, why plan for obsolescence?  Instead, spend the few extra bucks to run RG6.  I'd be surprised if the cabling cost you 10% more...


  2. RG-6 for sure. It is the recommended type these days.
