What type of computer will be great for AutoDesk software use? Brand, memory, etc

I would like to buy a laptop and i want to know what type should i buy so it would be great for AutoDesk.

I'm not certain what budget you have for this laptop.  A Dell brand laptop will probably be a good choice but you can shop around for less expensive hardware that will function equally well.  If this isn't a business purchase and you're not seeking a Mac, you'll be forced to use the Microsoft Vista operating system.  With Vista, you'll need at least 2GB RAM memory.  You should also seek an Intel Pentium 4 CPU of at least 3GHz or dual-core of at least 2GHz.

There are many specific laptop models to suggest but you need to look over a range of possibilities to fit your style and any other requirements (e.g. LCD display size, built-in web cam).  Most of the Dell models are pretty good but if you look at other brands, you'll want to make certain the integrated video provides hardware acceleration.  Hard drive space shouldn't be an issue but you can never have enough so lean toward ordering a model with a larger disk; it can be a pain to swap the drive later for a larger one.
