  1. Did your cameras come with any cables (that when you first unboxed them, you wondered what the heck they were?). I have had both Canon & Sony cameras, and both have come with a cable. They should be yellow on both ends. Secondly, do the cameras record only pictures, or sound as well? If sound also, the cable probably has three cables on one end, yellow, white & red.

In the first case, you should have, depending on the type of camera (digital SLR, compact), either:

    * a small 3.5mm plug on one end (camera video out), and an RCA (larger looking plug) on the other. This is for video input on your TV.

    * the same connection on either end

In the second case, it may have a three way 3.5mm output from the camera/s and three RCA plugs on the other, or 3 & 3.

In either case, your TV may have a front or side RCA input for video and audio (to make it easier than fiddling around at the back), just connect up what's relevant - yellow video cable to video in, yellow, red and white if appropriate. The select that input on your TV.

If you need to go buy any cables, the above should hopefully help. All the best.

  2. You're a probably going to need an AV cable (red, yellow). Chances are, it came bundled with your camera. If not, I'd try to buy them from the manufactures.
