Question:

What type of dance?

Okay I chose to do salsa and tap and maybe even tango but my friends went bizarre and were all like "Are you crazy" and stuff and I don't know what to do and I just want to take dance classes to keep my active and to enjoy my summer because I'm not doing anything so I need help on what kind of dance I should do? I mean what's fast and fun and enjoyable? something that i won't quit!

salsa, tap, jazz, tango, hip-hop, modern..ect. ?!!?!?

  1. well i am a gymnast of 8 years but i can`t compete anymore due to an injury in my shoulder. i am going for tap dancing cause it looks like so much fun! i have already learned 1 beginner combination. i love to hear the sounds of the taps and how its a graceful yet powerful sport. :) i also might take ballet since i have heard it helps all dancers. I am still fit from being a gymnast and i have the determination and i love to compete. :) go for what you like and don`t let your friends influence what you do. work hard and give it your all!

  3. Salsa and tango are two of my favorite dances!  They just don't know how fun they are.  And if you are old enough, salsa clubs are a lot of fun.  

    My favorite dances are salsa, chacha, tango, paso doble, and bellydance.  You can't go wrong with them.  And it is easy for girls to practice, because guys lead so you just have to make some guy friends who are good at salsa, and you can get better fast.

  4. I personally recommend lyrical. If you like fast, yet graceful, it's awesome. But that's just my personal preference, so if you want to do salsa and tap, go for it, it's your choice, and you shouldn't let other people dictate your decisions.♥

  5. I think you should do hip hop. If its your first time taking classes, I would really recommend ballet to set the ground work, but it seems that you are into faster more upbeat kind of dance, so Hip Hop. It is really fun and upbeat and really easy to pick up. You also shouldn't listen to your friends when they try to pressure you. I think its great that you are tyring to stay active, and dance is a great way to do it!!  You also should do what you really think YOU will like! Our ideas are just suggestions! Have Fun, and I hope you like whatever you choose! =]

  6. Just do what you like!! I'd stick to Salsa, Tap, and Tango. Your friends should be proud of you that you are setting your goals high. Maybe they'll join you if you tell them about all the calories you'll burn ; ) If you REALLY want to eliminate some of your classes, just take Hip-Hop. It's really fun and upbeat. Plus if you like Hip-Hop and Pop music, that's just a plus!!
