What type of device can take 4 cameras onto one screen at once?

such as a security set up for instance. there will be four different camera's split into 4 sections of the tv all on at the same time. what device does that and where can i get one?

its called a quad split, and broadcast versions are quite pricey. they come in both stand alone versions, and as an optional feature of a video production mixer. the cctv devices do the same job at a quarter of the price. but have you ever considered just positioning 4 monitor screens together, kind of like a Jumbotron?

If you want to view only, lare is right... Quadsplitters. You can also connect an external recorder to the QuadSplitter.

They come in 4, 8, 9, and 16 channel sizes. Some can be connected to an IP network. Some you need to add a hard drive.
