I'm looking to upgrade a little and I'd something with at 8 megapixels and the ability to record videos with sound.

  1. Almost all point and shoot digital cameras can record videos with sound nowadays. You can take a look of Canon A720 IS or Canon SD1100 IS.  They are 8 megapixels cameras with image stabilization.
