wat type of disc do i need to copy data from one dvd recorder disc to another...?

Hi Cristian,

Most likely, unless your recorder is older then eight years, it will work with either a DVD-R or a DVD+R. If it is older then eight years your safest bet would be a DVD-R

If you want to add more to the DVD and be able to erase it later like you could a VHS tape then use a DVD+RW or a DVD -RW. (The RW stands for re-write)

The DVD+R and DVD-R are competing formats much like the old VHS and Beta formats in video tapes. Today most drives are Hybrid and handle both formats. They are usually labeled DVD+/-R
